Sliema, St. Julian’s and Paceville |
|
Sliema - This city has developed as a commercial capital on the island, with new shops, cafes, and restaurants being established frequently. The two waterfronts give Sliema a very unique charm and makes it a very popular residential area. On one side Sliema faces Marsamxett Harbour and the splendid bastions of Valletta, whilst on the other side it faces the open Mediterranean Sea. The former is mainly a commercial area, while the latter is a mixture of hotels, apartments, lido's and restaurants. St. Julian's and Paceville - What originally was a tiny fishing village built around a small bay, is now a cove for some of Malta's finest cuisine. Luckily St. Julian's still retains some of its original charm. Pacevillle is very much a party capital. It features numerous discos, bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants, fast food outlets, cafes, hotels and a casino. In summer Paceville is very busy all week, whilst in winter Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the busiest days. This area is where most of the 5 star hotels are situated. |
